Powder Production Technician

(Greenville, SC Plant)

Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, 1st shift, (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Pay Range: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Position Summary

The Powder Production Technician performs all operations required to sample, test, adjust, produce, and troubleshoot the successful manufacture of powder coatings. Machine and equipment disassembly, reassembly, cleaning, and setup are required. This position works closely with the Quality Control Department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production equipment while adjusting the machine as needed based on output and indicators.
  • Set up machines and equipment according to established setpoints and production specifications.
  • Follow batch ticket instructions precisely to ensure products meet customer and quality standards.
  • Accurately weigh and measure ingredients using floor and portable scales; stage materials and equipment for each batch as required.
  • Assemble and prepare ingredients to produce batches in accordance with specifications.
  • Complete all required batch documentation (e.g., batch tickets, production logs) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Notify Supervisor or Team Lead at designated stages of cleaning and inspection processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area; perform equipment cleaning and follow all housekeeping procedures.
  • Comply with all safety, quality, and workplace policies and regulations.
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with established procedures and training provided by the Environmental, Health, and Safety Department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; additional related technical training is a plus.
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred (approximately 3โ€“12 months), including the ability to operate or learn equipment such as extruders and mills.


Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to shared goals.
  • Forklift certification is strongly preferred; ability to safely operate a pallet jack is required.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to follow directions and provide input in a constructive manner.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates clean and organized work habits.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to perform conversions and measurements accurately.
  • Ability to safely use common tools and equipment, including hand tools, calculators, extruders, mills, and forklifts.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Our facility offers a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled environment supported by advanced HVAC systems that maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to communicate verbally and audibly in a manufacturing or operational setting.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and move throughout the work area.
  • Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, manipulate, and control objects, tools, or equipment.
  • Required to sit, balance, stoop, and occasionally reach above shoulder level.
  • Occasional operation of machinery using foot controls
  • May be required to climb, balance, and reach overhead as part of job duties.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 65 lbs.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)


  • Safety shoes, safety glasses, and flame-retardant uniforms or lab coats are required in production areas.
  • Respirators and ear plugs are required for specific production processes.
