International Sales Engineer

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. Role Purpose (Position Scope)

The Sales Engineer is a customer-facing technical and commercial role responsible for driving customer engagement, supporting business growth, and ensuring successful execution of customer requirements across the organization. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, this role serves as a primary liaison between customers and Canyon's engineering, operations, customer service, and leadership teams.
The Sales Engineer combines technical aptitude, relationship management, and commercial awareness to support both existing business and new growth opportunities. This individual works closely with customers throughout the sales and product lifecycle - from opportunity identification and proposal development through implementation, training, ongoing support, and issue resolution.
The role requires the ability to understand customer operational needs, translate those needs into actionable business and technical requirements, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable business outcomes. The Sales Engineer also supports strategic growth initiatives through market analysis, customer feedback, and participation in business development activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts and Business Unit programs
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support long-term business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate customer communications and ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and executed internally
  • Support customer onboarding, product implementation, operational training, and ongoing application support activities
  • Respond to customer inquiries, technical questions, and operational issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Act as an escalation point for customer concerns requiring cross-functional coordination
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, customer service, and Business Unit leadership to support successful execution of customer requirements
  • Translate customer needs into actionable technical, operational, and commercial requirements
  • Support product demonstrations, installations, troubleshooting, and application support as needed
  • Coordinate internal activities to ensure commitments, schedules, and deliverables are achieved
  • Communicate customer feedback, operational challenges, and emerging requirements to support continuous product improvement
  • Identify and support new business opportunities within assigned accounts and markets
  • Assist with proposal development, pricing activities, quotations, and contract support
  • Participate in customer meetings, trade shows, demonstrations, and industry events to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities
  • Support sales forecasting, bookings tracking, and pipeline management activities
  • Analyze market conditions, customer feedback, and competitive activity to support strategic decision-making
  • Contribute to achieving Business Unit bookings, revenue, and profitability objectives
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing learning and industry engagement
  • Adhere to Canyon AeroConnect's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and all applicable company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the scope and level of the role

  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, customer support, engineering, or aerospace-related roles preferred
  • Experience working directly with customers in technical or operational environments preferred
  • Aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or technical product experience strongly preferred


Physical Demands

  • Tasks involve light physical effort in sedentary to light work; may involve lifting/carrying objects up to 10 lbs.
  • Extended periods at a keyboard or workstation
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25-40% as required for customer visits, trade shows, training, and business support activities

  • Primarily office-based with periodic travel to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events
