Job description

SnapLock Industries is looking for a skilled Injection Mold Setup Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in changing and setting up injection molds. This role is essential for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production operations.
Shifts Available: 2nd Shift with a $1.00 Shift Differential
Your Day to Day:
  • Perform mold changes, setups, and adjustments on injection molding machines.
  • Ensure molds are properly installed and aligned for optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mold changes and setups.
  • Maintain accurate records of mold changes and machine settings.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address mold-related issues and improve processes.
  • Provide training and support to junior technicians and operators as needed.
  • Help develop and write procedures and standardized work instructions.

What We Would Love About You:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in injection mold changing.
  • Proficiency in mold setup, changeover, and adjustment procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of 5S, PDCA, SMED, Kaizen and other key principles in the Toyota Production System (TPS) and continuous improvement
