Part of the Milwaukee-based Marcus Hotels & Resorts portfolio, HOTEL PASEO offers guests a distinctive desert retreat featuring 150 thoughtfully designed guest rooms and suites, many showcasing breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountains and palm-lined landscape. What will you be doing?
  • Partner with Director of Engineering to oversee all building operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, aquatic facilities, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Supervises, directs and inspects the Engineers/maintenance team on a daily basis to ensure their work productivity and quality meets standards and deadlines.
  • Responsible for coordination and roll-out of projects as directed.
  • Interacts as needed with guests, contractors, vendors.
  • Knowledge of brand standard as well as service standards and meets expectations.
  • Performs all assigned day-to-day maintenance and preventative maintenance projects as assigned.
  • Conducts regular inspections via walk-throughs of public areas, back of the house areas, guest rooms and exterior areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?
  • Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents to include: Blueprints/Schematics, Procedure manuals, OSHA standards such as LockOut/TagOut, SDS, etc.
  • Strong technical expertise in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems, including HVAC and refrigeration equipment, electrical systems, pools, fire alarm systems, plumbing, mechanical equipment, building automation systems, and life-safety infrastructure and PM Systems Knowledge such as Hot Sos, Transcendant, and PM processes.
  • Possess the ability to troubleshoot, repair and/or maintain the building
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
  • Analytical skills in order to be able to assess and identify problems and then implement solutions.
  • Must be able to safely use hand and power tools.
