What YOU will do

  • Design and develop software-only products for the Fusion FMS within the Pro Line Fusion product line.
  • Provide analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and software level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements and make recommendations for the generation of verification criteria and plan for the requirements.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend investments or changes in technology, resources, procedures, equipment, systems or other assists to improve the quality of the organization's systems products and services.
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional team daily with engineering and scrum lead to ensure success of the product and program.
  • Work with scrum lead and agile team on assigned tasks maintaining quality, schedule and scope.
  • Support scrum lead and team on work-processes, optimization methods and risk management tools for large or complex projects.
  • Participated in feature development tasks, including design implementation plans, software requirements, software level integration testing.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Avionics/Aerospace Engineering or related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or related role. In the alternative, must posses at least a master’s degree Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Avionics/Aerospace Engineering or related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role would be acceptable.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience in embedded software development and verification.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience developing software using any of the programming languages such as C, C++ , Ada or Python.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of DO-178B/C development experience or in similar standards.
  • Non-US Person - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.

The salary range is $133,494.00 to $164,000.00 USD per year. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
