Job description

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $119,100.00/Yr. - USD $198,450.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
  • Assisting in coordinating requirements and managing the design of T&E system-level solutions
  • Participating in project planning meetings to provide government direction to vendors
  • Reviewing diagrams, systems documents, and test plans
  • Coordinating with RF stakeholders to develop, integrate, test, and evaluate platform/payload solutions
  • Collaborating with engineers and other team members on platform/RF payload integration
  • Reviewing, receiving, providing, and documenting feedback from collaboration and design reviews
  • Developing, reviewing, and executing test plans to evaluate operational capabilities
  • Researching emerging and newly developed technologies to ensure vendors accelerate capabilities
  • Collaborating with aircraft engineers to integrate RF payload hardware and software on aircraft
  • Ensuring payloads are developed in an open architecture and with Modular Open Systems Approaches (MOSA); may include ensuring compliance with Government Reference Architecture (GRA), Open Mission Systems (OMA), or other architectures
  • Supporting milestone reviews such as Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), System Functional Reviews (SFR), and System Design Reviews (SDR)
  • Monitoring Configuration Management (CM) to track changes and version control of technical systems
  • Reviewing government standards to document project compliance
  • Managing multiple priorities and make decisions with minimal supervision

  • 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or with RF payload engineering.
  • RF experience with aerospace vehicles, commercial aviation, or high-performance aircraft.
  • Experience with modeling tools and Agile Mission Suite Government Reference Architecture.
  • Experience in the entire life cycle of aviation technology and/or RF payload development.
  • Requires responsible, collaborative, and punctual individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an Engineering discipline or related technical discipline.
  • 3-6 years of relevant aviation, threat systems, payload experience, Developmental Test (DT), and/or Operational Test (OT).
  • Working knowledge of aircraft hardware including airworthiness, flight computers, radios, radar, engines/power, structural integrity, communications, payload, and/or electrical systems.
  • Experience in developing and conducting test plans for aircraft, RF payloads, radar, and/or electrical systems.
  • Ability to maintain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.

  • Experience with government/military acquisition of aircraft, radar, satellites, and/or payload test planning and execution preferred.

  • Knowledge of software integration is preferred.
