Job description

Summary:

Mu-Del Electronics is looking to hire a Mid-level or Senior RF Engineer with PCB layout experience. They will work with software and mechanical engineers by generating RF schematics/BOMs and layout out the PCB to be sent out for build.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of professional experience with demonstrated work performance in schematic design and PCB layout design using Altium
  • High degree of ingenuity and skilled in design, prototyping and testing
  • Ability to work from rough sketches and oral instructions, often with only tentative guidance available
  • Working knowledge on creating BOMs in a MRP/ERP system
  • Knowledge of proper use of laboratory equipment such as oscilloscope, data acquisition equipment, thermocouples and power supplies for testing and evaluation of electronic circuitry a plus
  • Knowledge or experience of RF and microwave test equipment including Network Analyzers and spectrum analysis, Noise Figure is a plus; familiarity with RF tuning and filter testing is a plus
  • Knowledge/experience with electronic components and PCB design, preferably RF
  • Knowledge or experience with RF design simulation techniques and tools a plus
  • Willingness to learn and become an effective team member
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility in a team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills; exceptional time management skills
  • Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening; great interpersonal skills.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
