Role: Engineering Program Manager
Location: Cupertino, CA
Duration: Longterm

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Embedded systems fundamentals
  • C programming basics (especially bitwise operations)
  • Understanding of SoC architecture
  • Boot process knowledge
  • Firmware and kernel interactions
  • Debugging methodology
  • Structured problem-solving
  • Cross-functional leadership
  • Risk management
  • Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, fault isolation)
  • Ownership and communication

Job Summary:

  • Scoping the development of drivers, applications, protocols, frameworks, and command line utilities for validation of hardware internally and in manufacturing
  • Interacting with Hardware, OS, Test, Operations, and various other cross functional teams throughout client products.
  • Enabling test strategies for new components in upcoming products
  • Supporting new product development builds locally and remotely
  • First level of triage for test and software issues
  • Hands on debugging or coordination of cross-functional debug, as appropriate
  • Driving issues, tracking tasks, and evaluating priorities on a daily basis
  • Driving and enabling process improvements
  • Working with our engineering team to define, schedule, track, and communicate the status of software features and deliverables to other groups and executive management.
  • Communicating status to the executive management on a regular basis

Key Qualifications:

  • Embedded Engineering experience: 2 years
  • Program Management experience: 1-5 years
  • Good understanding of software development
  • Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to drive issues, track tasks, and evaluate priorities on a daily basis
  • Strong Embedded Engineering fundamentals is desired
