Manufacturing Project Engineer

City of Industry, CA | $97,000-$110,000 Annually

Lead New Product Development from Concept to Production

Are you a Manufacturing Project Engineer with experience managing the entire product lifecycle? We're seeking an experienced engineering professional to lead customer-driven manufacturing projects from concept and design through production launch and ongoing support.

This is NOT a construction project management role or an IT project management position. We are specifically looking for candidates with manufacturing project engineering experience who understand product development, engineering change management, manufacturing processes, and cross-functional collaboration in a production environment.

What You'll Do

Lead manufacturing projects through the complete product lifecyclefrom concept, design, prototyping, validation, production launch, and sustaining engineering

Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers throughout project execution

Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and Sales

Manage project schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, and customer expectations

Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, prototypes, and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)

Drive root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and problem resolution

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all quality and performance requirements

Support forecasting, product costing, and strategic engineering initiatives

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of Manufacturing Project Engineering experience
  • Minimum 5 years managing projects through the full Product Lifecycle (PLM) from concept through production
  • Experience working in manufacturing environments such as electronics, plastics, industrial products, aerospace, or medical devices
  • Strong understanding of product development, manufacturing processes, engineering documentation, and production readiness
  • Experience managing customer-facing engineering projects and coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and project management tools
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
