Requirements

This is a full-time role for a Sales Engineer at Fulton Equipment Pacific, LLC in the Los Angeles/Southern California Area. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, communicating with clients, driving sales, and delivering excellent customer service on a daily basis.


Qualifications

  • Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Sales and Customer Service experience
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Knowledge of industrial heating systems is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience/education) 


OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY


The Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting Fulton products, systems and services with the goal of raising the level of awareness in relevant technical communities (consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, representatives, end customers, etc.) in a manner that is consistent with the company values and operating philosophy. The Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying and pursuing new market opportunities. 


ACCOUNTABILITIES: 


Customer Support and Satisfaction - Travels extensively to provide effective presentations to consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, Fulton Representatives, end users, and others as necessary. Prioritizes travel as directed by General Manager, Sales Managers, VP of Sales and Product Managers. 

  • Technical Expertise - Stays current and relevant with Fulton product, system and service offerings, as well as those of competitors in all markets. Develops and maintains comprehensive comparison documents for competitors' offerings. 
  • Product Training - Develops content for and delivers sales/product training (at Fulton facilities and remotely). Evaluates attendees based on performance in the class (overall participation and written tests). 
  • Market Evaluation - Identifies and pursues new market opportunities for Fulton products, systems and services. 

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Management preferred
  • Minimum 5-years of experience in Heat Transfer Equipment Sales Engineering or similar role 
  • Experience with field service preferred
