Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated and career-focused Systems Engineer Manager to join our team onsite in Washington, D.C. This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee systems infrastructure planning and implementation while guiding a team of technical professionals. You will manage daily operations, ensure high system performance, and support mission-driven objectives with technical expertise and strategic oversight. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Manage the daily operations of the systems engineering department, overseeing planning, infrastructure development, and team execution
* Ensure hardware and software systems are designed and installed in alignment with organizational needs and performance expectations
* Monitor and evaluate systems performance, recommending and implementing improvements as needed
* Provide expert consultation on technical product development, policy guidance, and complex systems engineering challenges
* Plan and manage industrial engineering initiatives, including workflow analysis and spatial optimization
* Lead and mentor staff, ensuring project and departmental goals are achieved on time and within budget
Resolve complex technical issues, drive innovation, and apply advanced engineering knowledge to strategic programs Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering
* 10+ years of relevant systems engineering or technical management experience Preferred Qualifications: * Experience supporting or working directly with the U.S. Navy, either as active duty, a government civilian, or a support contractor
* Familiarity with U.S. Navy technical authority, such as NAVSEA 05
* Experience working with U.S. Navy Program Managers in an analyst capacity Clearance Requirements: * Must hold an active Top-Secret clearance. Physical Requirements: * The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
* Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and/or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
