Job description


The Shop Helper supports the day-to-day operations of the shop by assisting with the maintenance, organization, and cleanliness of tools, materials, and equipment. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our crews are well-equipped and prepared for field operations.
Essential Functions:
• Assist with the loading and unloading of tools, equipment, and materials for field crews.
• Clean, inspect, and perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Keep the shop, storage areas, and yard clean and organized.
• Support shop personnel and field crews with tool preparation and staging.
• Conduct regular inventory counts; track tool check-in/check-out.
• Dispose of scrap materials and debris in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and always wear appropriate PPE.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
• Deliver tools or materials to job sites as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, or construction environment preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
