Job description

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership for enterprise Microsoft 365 engineering activities supporting the M365 Program Management Office.
  • Serve as a lead systems engineer across cloud platform operations, security, privacy, data governance, and integrated technical solutions.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for engineering coordination, task execution, issue resolution, and team collaboration throughout the M365 environment.
  • Lead systems engineering activities supporting the Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring platform administration, maintenance, and technical deliverables are executed effectively across assigned efforts.
  • Oversee engineering support for SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and related M365 services, ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards, operational requirements, and security expectations.
  • Guide the development of data readiness plans and support integration of Purview capabilities to strengthen protection of sensitive information and enterprise governance practices.
  • Coordinate technical efforts involving Windows Server and SQL Server cluster support.
  • Lead or support the design and implementation of Power Platform environments and pipelines.
  • Provide engineering leadership for emerging Microsoft capabilities such as Defender, Copilot, Loop, Purview, and Graph Connector.
  • Support the design and management of SharePoint on-premises farm infrastructure.
Requirements
  • All candidates must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 in a large corporate or government environment.
  • Must possess an active Microsoft certification such as Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102), Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300), Azure Administrator (AZ-104), or Azure Solutions Architect-related certification aligned to AZ-305.
  • Experience leading technical teams coordinating engineering activities, or serving as a technical lead or primary point of contact for enterprise platform support efforts.
  • Deep experience working across Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, within complex enterprise environments.
  • Working knowledge of .NET-based technologies such as C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS sufficient to support integrated M365 and Power Platform solutions.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts for automation, administration, troubleshooting, and environment management.
  • Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, Intune, Azure AD, and the Azure ecosystem, including identity, service integration, cloud administration, and platform support considerations.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 development and SharePoint Administration, including support for SharePoint Online and coordination across broader collaboration and platform engineering efforts.
  • Familiarity with developing Power Apps models, customizing SharePoint lists and disparate systems through Power Apps, and supporting permissions, data retention, compliance settings, and issue resolution across M365 and AvePoint Online Services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to multiple audiences, maintain effective business relationships, and lead coordination across technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Must be able to present acceptable identification for customer badging and site access, such as a REAL ID compliant driver license, U.S. Passport, or other approved document from the GSA Required Identification List.
