Job Summary:
Our client in Lima, OH is looking for a Plant Engineer Controls. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do:
  • Use plant monitoring software to review cycle times of machinery, review and follow up machinery project's and installations.
  • Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other machinery problems.
  • Update program backups for machinery.
  • Program new installations of machinery and conveyor systems.
  • Reprogram machinery for engineering changes and improvements.

Basics:
  • 2+ years of related controls and debug experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls.
  • Electrical Background (electrician or technician).
  • Related experience.
  • Siemens and Indramat servo and VFD drives.
  • Familiarity with VFD's, Armor starts, encoders, network/Ethernet controls.
  • 100% onsite position.

Preferred:
  • Siemens and/or Indramat PL7.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery.
  • ABB robot experience o Microsoft office including excel, powerpoint, word, etc.
  • Ability to read prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
