Join us for a Co-op opportunity starting in September!
The hourly rate for this position is $18-$20. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will become part of the Engineering Design and Development team to assist the department in testing and transitioning newly designed products to the manufacturing phase. This person will be responsible for testing and troubleshooting new prototype systems and devices for the New Product Development group. They may also be responsible for root cause analysis of any particular failures. These systems may include battery, portable power, and hybrid system designs specific to the military, medical and commercial markets. They will responsible for proper documentation of all testing completed and may assist in documenting the transition to manufacturing. This person must demonstrate technical skills to assemble and troubleshoot prototype designs. They will work with experienced Electrical Engineers in the New Product Development group for tasking, prioritizing, and technical oversight.

Essential Functions:

• Utilize laboratory equipment to perform design validation testing on new products

• Generate detailed reports of product testing and observations

• Design and build general and highly custom electrical testing apparatus

• Create detailed work instructions for new products to be used in manufacturing

• Complete small scale initial prototype builds of new products

• Document completed new products for transition to manufacturing

• Other duties as assigned.

Education / Training / Skills / Experience:

• Must have completed 2 years of Electrical Engineering course work in Circuit Basics and be in good academic standing. Experience in Python a plus.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Transcript or relevant job experience required.

• Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident as some work may include ITAR restricted material.
