Job Description Professional Engineer - Civil POSITION OVERVIEW This is a mid-level opportunity for an experienced civil engineer to manage and oversee complex infrastructure and engineering development projects for a firm with a strong presence in oil and gas, geotechnical, and environmental engineering work. The role offers a mix of technical ownership, client-facing responsibility, and mentorship of junior staff. Salary: Based on experience Location: Washington, Pa Schedule: Monday through Friday, core hours 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (40-45 hours/week typical, with occasional evening or weekend work) CLIENT OVERVIEW Our client is an engineering and environmental consulting firm supporting infrastructure and development projects across multiple sectors, including oil and gas, geotechnical, and environmental engineering.

The team values technical rigor, safety, and mentorship, and offers engineers the chance to lead projects from planning through implementation. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and oversee complex infrastructure and engineering development projects from planning through completion Review civil engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and design documents for site development, grading, stormwater management, utilities, and erosion and sediment control Provide technical oversight during field investigations, construction observation, and project implementation Develop technical proposals, change orders, cost estimates, and scopes of work Maintain frequent communication with clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams Prepare and process project deliverables, including reports, permit applications, and engineering work plans Direct and mentor junior engineering staff on assigned projects Coordinate project scheduling, equipment procurement, and vendor/subcontractor logistics Travel to project sites as needed, including occasional out-of-town and all-season field conditions REQUIREMENTS Required: 5-15 years of demonstrated experience in civil engineering Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related technical field Active Professional Engineer (PE) license Expertise in site development Experience in oil and gas, geotechnical, or environmental engineering Proficiency with GIS, AutoCAD, or similar design/drafting software Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Strong technical writing and communication skills Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work outdoors in variable field conditions Preferred: Water and/or wastewater engineering experience Advanced certifications or licenses in relevant engineering disciplines BENEFITS Medical, dental, and vision insurance Short-term disability, long-term disability, AD&D, and life insurance Company-match 401(k) upon hire Incentive pay and supplemental benefits Flexible hours with remote/hybrid schedule options
