Position Summary
This Civil Engineer role focuses on supporting land development projects from early design through construction coordination. Engineers in this position contribute to grading plans, utility layouts, stormwater design, and site infrastructure while collaborating with senior engineers, project managers, and CAD teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer with strong land development design experience who wants to take on greater technical responsibility and work on meaningful site development projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare grading, drainage, utility, and street improvement plans for land development projects
• Perform engineering calculations related to hydrology, storm drainage, and site infrastructure
• Develop site development designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software
• Review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with local agency standards
• Participate in QA/QC review processes to maintain accuracy and quality of engineering documents
• Support project planning including schedules, budgets, and design coordination
• Work closely with project managers to develop solutions for site development and grading challenges
• Coordinate with municipalities, consultants, and project stakeholders during design phases
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 4+ years of experience in land development design
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with grading plans, drainage design, utilities, and site development
• Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulics calculations
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong communication and coordination skills
