THE ROLE

Reporting to the Owner (A Master Electrician), the Journeyman Electrician or preferably Red Seal Journeyman Electrician is responsible for following the leadership and supervision of the manager and acting as a leader on project sites on behalf of MMi Electrical. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and reliable installation and maintenance of all electrical systems within each project.

Working with a small team of electricians you will be engaged and involved in each project from a personal perspective. You are responsible to make sure that your tasks follow the schedule, that you are professional, and that you work to support the needs of our clients.

  • Pull wire

  • Install electrical supports & brackets

  • Install, replace & repairing lighting & electrical components

  • Splice, join and connect wires

  • Test circuits

  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical systems

  • Connect electrical power to various AV equipment, signaling devices and HVAC systems

YOU

You are a detail-oriented individual that enjoys working with your hands and seeing the results of your hard work. You have decided that this is the career path for you and you are looking for a better opportunity to support the needs of your development and your family.

  • Journeyman Electrician with recent residential construction experience, however we will consider an Apprentice Electrician with the right skills, credentials and experience as well.

  • 3-5 years of experience working as an electrician on residential renovation and/or construction projects.

  • It would be great if you had some service electrical experience.

  • Are punctual, attentive, coachable, and eager for a great company that cares about your well-being.

  • Enthusiasm and willingness to develop and improve

  • Good communication and teamwork skills, as well as being able to work independently

  • You enjoy solving problems and have a strong attention to detail

  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office will be helpful

WORKING CONDITIONS

Monday to Friday work schedule

Applicants must pass pre-employment testing, which may consist of: references, drivers’ abstract and criminal background checks.
