Senior Director, GTM Analytics & Growth Strategy

About the Role

WP Engine is seeking a highly analytical and deeply strategic Senior Director of GTM Analytics and Growth Strategy to drive our next phase of scale. In this critical leadership role, you will act as the analytical engine and strategic compass for our Revenue organization. You will leverage data to uncover growth opportunities, optimize the customer journey, and ensure our sales, marketing, and product teams are tightly aligned on commercialization efforts. As a senior leader, you will build, develop, and lead a high-performing function that leverages data products, market intelligence and statistical insights to optimize revenue growth, improve forecast accuracy and drive expansion strategies across the organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Cross-Functional Execution
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of GTM analysts, strategy managers, and ops professionals.

  • Act as the strategic linchpin between Product, Sales, Marketing, and Finance.

  • Partner closely with Product Marketing, Marketing, and Sales for commercialization strategies of new product launches or growth initiatives for existing products

  • Foster a unified revenue culture by ensuring all customer-facing teams execute against a cohesive go-to-market motion backed by data insights and quantitative analysis

  • Partner closely with Business Intelligence to help drive the development of a centralized reporting and insights suite by delivering business requirements, definitions and design input

GTM Strategy & Planning

  • Translate high-level corporate growth goals into actionable commercial playbooks.

  • Lead annual and quarterly planning cycles, including territory, size segment or vertical mapping.

  • Support senior leadership in revenue target setting, quotas, and compensation strategy.

  • Lead capacity planning and optimize resource allocation across the revenue org to sustainably support scaling efforts.

  • Design advanced analytical models to evaluate growth scenarios, which will help inform and direct GTM strategies

Analytics & Performance Measurement

  • Own the GTM data foundation and business requirements for BI and Data Engineering, leading the design and utilization of executive-level dashboards and reporting frameworks from an end-user perspective

  • Analyze full-funnel performance (from lead generation to retention) to identify process bottlenecks, friction points, and untapped growth opportunities.

  • Leverage these insights to optimize for ARR and NRR growth and key objectives across the business

  • Provide predictive modeling and forecasting insights to deliver accurate outlooks and actionable insights from pipeline health diagnostics.

  • Own the "Source of Truth" for revenue and growth metrics across channels and source attribution.

  • Establish, monitor, and report on primary Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the customer journey and sales funnel such as conversion rates, pipeline creation, coverage and velocity, product mix, ASP, etc

  • Partner with Sales & Marketing to continuously evaluate both the effectiveness and ROI of various GTM initiatives, while running A/B tests and pilot programs where necessary.

  • Present findings, progress, and strategic recommendations to the C-suite and Senior Leadership team

Market Segmentation & Targeting

  • Support Marketing with complex customer, product, and market data to refine our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and determine various growth opportunities

  • Define and prioritize target markets, geographies, and industry verticals to focus sales and marketing efforts where they will yield the highest ROI.

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop robust territory planning and account scoring models.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, GTM Strategy, Sales/Marketing Analytics, or Management Consulting, preferably within the [B2B SaaS / Tech] industry.

  • Leadership: Proven track record of hiring, building, mentoring, and leading high-performing analytics or strategy teams at scale.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in CRM and BI tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Tableau, Looker, PowerBI) and data manipulation (SQL, Python/R is a plus).

  • Strategic Acumen: Deep understanding of B2B sales cycles, demand generation funnels, capacity planning, and financial modeling.

  • Communication: Exceptional executive presence with the ability to distill complex data into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field; MBA is highly preferred.

Base Salary Range

$192,000.00 - $264,000.00

We believe that compensation should be reflective of the impact you have within the organization relative to the market value of your role. The estimated base salary range for this position is as listed above. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Our salary ranges are determined by job role and responsibilities and level.
