Job description

Solect Energy is a leading provider of solar and energy storage solutions for businesses, schools, cities, towns, and nonprofits in the Northeast, with over 800 installed projects totaling more than 160 MW. With a team of experts in development, technology, policy, incentives, and financing, we offer a comprehensive approach to help our clients reduce energy costs and maximize their solar and storage investments. Our Operations & Maintenance team serves more than 700 customers and maintains a 99% renewal rate each year. Based in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, Solect is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pattern Energy Group.


This position is responsible for leading financial structuring and analysis. Work duties include the continuous development and implementation of project finance structures, including tax equity and debt partnerships for Solect's expanding portfolio of commercial and industrial solar and energy storage projects.

Identify and quantify investment drivers and ensure internal models accurately predict project valuation. Develop and deliver internal and external investment presentations and briefs. Provide substantial transaction support throughout financing processes, including investor due diligence, investor data rooms, contributing to third-party consultant reports, and coordinating with the internal team on key project issues. Formulate strategies for cross-functional tool development and data management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience, including transaction work beyond valuation and modeling.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and a strong understanding of relevant financial and mathematical modeling techniques. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the talent to express ideas clearly and fluently. Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment where teamwork and individual work ethic are both valued.

 

The expected starting pay range for this role is $111,000 - $138,000 USD. This range is an estimate, and base pay may vary above or below these amounts based on several factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees at all levels. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, life insurance, voluntary benefits, family care benefits, an employee assistance program, paid time off and bonding leave, paid holidays, a 401(k)/RRSP retirement savings plan with employer contributions, and employee referral bonuses.
