We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
This position is responsible for conducting long-term energy market and economic analyses as part of the Company's Integrated Resource Plan (IRP), Clean Energy Filing, and other regulatory cases. In addition, this position will lead due diligence efforts for specific asset valuations, market origination and development efforts.
Specific job responsibilities include the following: Develop and maintain long-term models to provide forward views and trends for developing markets. Perform the modeling and analysis to support customers' needs and benefits in regulatory filings such as the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP), New Resource/CPCN Filings, and other regulatory filings. Ensures that all modeling and analysis is in compliance with applicable laws and regulations while providing reliable, affordable, and increasingly clean energy to Dominion Energy customers over the long term. Assists in completing the modeling, financial and strategic analysis related to the Company's capacity resource plan including risk assessment analyses, optimization analysis, rate analysis, and financial implications. Focuses on process improvements across the ISP team.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
7+ years' experience in market analysis and/or long-term market modeling.
  • Ability to lead and motivate.
  • Knowledge of energy markets, financial analysis, utility industry operating terms, generation equipment, environmental regulations, economics, financial statements, utility rates, capacity markets and commodity markets.
  • Knowledge of business information research, analytical methods, and statistics.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to comprehend and disseminate information to multiple audiences.
  • Ability to develop effective presentations for a variety of audiences and external groups.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities within specified deadlines.
  • Prior experience with capacity expansion or production cost modeling software, specifically PLEXOS.
  • Experience with Promod, Aurora, EnCompass, Strategist or similar software will also be considered.

Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelors
Preferred disciplines: Business Administration, Finance, Applied Science, Engineering, and Quantitative Disciplines.

The expected hiring base salary range is the range we anticipate hiring within for this position.
