About the Role - Systems Integration and Test Engineering Internย

This intern will support integration testing and functional verification of Peak Energy's energy storage systems, working across BMS, inverters, and other systems from batteries to power electronics.ย

As Peak Energy scales its ESS testing infrastructure, this role helpsย build outย the benchtop and HIL test capabilities needed toย validateย systems ahead of production.ย

You'llย work closely with firmware, design, and simulation teams, gaining exposure to the full test lifecycle - from procedure development to execution to reporting.ย

This role suits a hands-on, curious engineerย who'sย eager to learn by doing and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-moving startup environment.ย

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsย
  • Comfortable working hands-on with hardware and lab equipmentย
  • Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and driving positive environmental impact through technology innovationย
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.ย

Preferred Qualificationsย

  • Exposure to high voltage battery and power electronics systemsย
  • Familiarity with battery management systems (BMS) architectureย
  • Coursework or project experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test systemsย

Peak Energy is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We strongly encourage women, people of color, and individuals from underrepresented groups to apply. We value skills, potential, and perspective over specific credentials. Ifย you'reย excited about this role but your experienceย doesn'tย look perfect on paper, we still want to hear from you.ย

Our Core Valuesย

  • Speed Through Focus - Move fast but understand why. Focus on the goal,ย don'tย sacrifice quality.ย
  • Mission Over Self -ย It'sย about the greater good; confident humility. Take ownership and accountability.ย
