To join our team as an Energy Engineer II. This will be a combination of remote and in-person engagement where you will work closely with other Energy Engineers and Account Managers within the utility program to attain energy savings goals and provide excellent representation of our client. Typical daily responsibilities of the role will include (but are not limited to): independently conducting Energy Assessments (with an Account Manager); compiling associated documentation and energy calculations; completion and review of incentive/energy savings calculators (prescriptive measures) for accuracy and completeness. The Energy Engineer II is an active role allowing for and encouraging continuous growth and learning opportunities, both in the program and CLEAResult.

  • Effectively apply engineering principles and perform research as required to provide defensible calculations for program work and savings estimates
  • Perform ASHRAE level II audits, with technical oversight
  • Develop IPMVP-compliant M&V plans and reports, with technical oversight
  • Develop tools and calculators for use in our programs, with technical oversight
  • Provide design recommendations for prescriptive projects in our programs; develop effective technical training materials related to prescriptive measures
  • Review filings, utility commission documents, and evaluator documents for technical accuracy and sound engineering practices; communicate findings and recommendations to more senior engineers and program staff
  • Utilize software for projects with increasing complexity, such as reviewing energy simulation projects for buildings with complex HVAC systems
  • Prioritize safety in all actions and tasks
  • Analyze energy consumption data, identify trends, and develop strategies to optimize energy usage", Identify, lead, and qualify custom/M&V projects
