Job Summary

Dominion Energy Virginia Clover Power Station is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Associate Chemistry Technician, Chemistry Technician or Senior Chemistry Technician. With two openings available, we're excited to expand our team and welcome individuals who are passionate about supporting safe and efficient power generation.  In this role, successful candidates will contribute to station operations by performing chemical analyses, supporting environmental monitoring efforts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position plays a critical role in maintaining optimal water chemistry and treatment systems across the facility.  These roles will be filled at a level commensurate with each candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Perform chemical sampling and analysis of water, fuel, and environmental systems.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab instrumentation.
  • Monitor and report on cooling towers, wastewater, and potable water systems.
  • Prepare documentation for environmental and regulatory reporting.
  • Support unit startup and recommend chemical adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain chemical inventory and ensure lab safety compliance.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

Associate Chemistry Technician:

   0 - 2 years directly related experience. 
   Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory concepts and techniques.
   Basic knowledge of environmental regulations.
   Basic knowledge of computer applications.
   Ability to analyze and organize information.

Chemistry Technician:

   2+ years directly related experience. 
   Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory concepts and techniques.
   Basic knowledge of environmental regulations.
   Basic knowledge of computer applications.
   Ability to analyze and organize information.

Senior Chemistry Technician:
   5+ years directly related experience. 
   Designation will be approved by management, and will be based upon sustained, high level of performance, and the needs of the department. 
   Broad knowledge and application of principles, practices, and procedures to carry out all aspects of the job and handle the most complex work. 
   Demonstrated knowledge of chemistry instrumentation. 
   Demonstrated instructional traits.
   Knowledge of operation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of instruments used in the lab. 
   Knowledge at a level that far exceeds a chemistry technician. -Possession and utilization of leadership traits.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Associate

Expected Hiring Base Salary Range:

Associate Chemistry Technician: $47300 - $61400 

Chemistry Technician: $58700 - $76200 

Sr. Chemistry Technician: $73200 -$95000 

The expected hiring base salary range is the range we anticipate hiring within for this position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and work location. This is not intended to represent the full salary range for the position or limit future compensation growth.
