At a Glance:

The IT Asset Management & Endpoint Analyst, Principal is responsible for defining, designing, and driving the global IT Asset Management (ITAM) strategy while serving as the technical authority for End User Compute (EUC) lifecycle management across the organization.

This role owns the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets, including hardware, cloud-based assets, and end user devices, ensuring accurate inventory management, license compliance, lifecycle governance, asset optimization, and operational excellence. As the organization's subject matter expert, this individual establishes scalable global processes, drives automation initiatives, and provides technical leadership for endpoint technologies, device management platforms, and end user computing strategy.

The position serves as a critical bridge between IT Asset Management, Global Service Delivery, Security, Procurement, Finance, and Infrastructure teams to ensure governance, cost optimization, compliance, and an exceptional end user experience. This role combines strategic leadership, technical expertise, architecture ownership, and continuous improvement to mature the organization's global ITAM and endpoint management capabilities.

What you will do:

Strategic ITAM Leadership

  • Define, implement, and evolve the global IT Asset Management strategy, roadmap, governance model, and maturity framework.
  • Serve as the organization's subject matter expert for IT Asset Management, endpoint lifecycle management, and governance best practices.
  • Partner with IT, Finance, Procurement, Security, and Service Delivery teams to establish and maintain standardized global asset management practices.
  • Drive strategic initiatives focused on cost optimization, risk reduction, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Global Asset & Lifecycle Management

  • Own and continuously improve the end-to-end lifecycle of all IT assets from procurement through retirement.
  • Establish and maintain a centralized and trusted inventory of hardware, cloud, and end user computing assets.
  • Develop governance frameworks, policies, controls, and standards that ensure asset visibility and accountability.
  • Lead lifecycle planning, technology refresh programs, asset disposition, warranty management, and replacement strategies.
  • Partner with procurement and finance teams to align lifecycle decisions with budgeting and financial objectives.

End User Compute Leadership

  • Serve as a technical authority and architectural lead for the global End User Compute environment.
  • Drive standardization of endpoint technologies, device configurations, deployment methodologies, and operational support models.
  • Design scalable solutions for desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile, and specialized endpoint management.
  • Lead modernization initiatives focused on improving user experience, device reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Act as the highest escalation point for complex endpoint management and lifecycle-related issues.

Device Management & Endpoint Technologies

  • Provide expertise for Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, endpoint management, and deployment technologies.
  • Oversee imaging, provisioning, enrollment, patching, compliance, and endpoint security standards.
  • Support endpoint encryption and protection technologies including BitLocker.
  • Ensure endpoint compliance with organizational security and operational requirements.
  • Drive global consistency for device deployment and support processes.

Tooling, Automation & Process Optimization

  • Drive continuous enhancements within ITAM and ITSM platforms, including HaloITSM and associated integrations.
  • Develop automation solutions using PowerShell and other technologies.
  • Lead reconciliation efforts across systems to maintain asset integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities to automate asset discovery, lifecycle transitions, and reporting processes.
  • Integrate ITAM processes with service management and endpoint management workflows.

Governance, Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and vendor agreements.
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to measure ITAM performance and maturity.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on asset utilization, lifecycle health, compliance posture, and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts related to asset management, endpoint operations, and lifecycle process breakdowns.
  • Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

  • Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader across IT.
  • Mentor support teams, engineers, and administrators.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and influence strategic decisions without direct authority.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, standardization, automation, and service excellence.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT Asset Management, Endpoint Management, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience in a large-scale global enterprise environment.
  • Deep expertise in IT Asset Management and lifecycle governance.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, and endpoint management.
  • Experience with ITAM and ITSM platforms, preferably HaloITSM.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL certification or equivalent IT Service Management experience.
  • Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM), CSAM, or related certifications.
  • Experience supporting large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with FinOps, cloud asset management, and SaaS lifecycle governance.
