Job description

Position Overview
MetroSys is seeking a customer-focused Onsite IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support for end users and office infrastructure within a corporate enterprise environment. This role serves as the primary onsite IT resource, supporting desktop systems, office technology, networking equipment, asset lifecycle management, and local infrastructure projects while partnering closely with remote engineering teams.
The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with users, has strong troubleshooting skills, and is comfortable supporting a wide variety of endpoint devices, office technologies, and basic network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
End User Support
  • Provide onsite technical support for Windows, macOS, Linux, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, Microsoft 365, and network connectivity issues.
  • Provision and deprovision laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and user accounts.
  • Replace failed equipment with loaner devices following established procedures.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to Level 2 engineering teams while coordinating onsite troubleshooting activities.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and technical guidance to end users.
Office Infrastructure Support
  • Support office networking infrastructure including switches, routers, wireless access points, printers, conference room technology, digital signage, and collaboration equipment.
  • Perform basic installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of network-connected devices.
  • Support Wi-Fi, LAN connectivity, voice services, audiovisual systems, and workplace technology.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers during repairs, maintenance, and equipment installations.
  • Provide onsite assistance during scheduled maintenance windows and infrastructure projects.
Asset & Device Lifecycle Management
  • Receive, inventory, image, configure, deploy, and retire end-user devices.
  • Maintain accurate hardware asset records and inventory.
  • Coordinate warranty repairs, equipment replacements, and device refresh activities.
  • Perform hardware audits and ensure compliance with asset management policies.
  • Securely wipe and dispose of retired equipment following corporate security standards.
Project & Operational Support
  • Support office moves, hardware refreshes, workstation deployments, and other IT projects.
  • Assist with conference room setups, business events, and technology rollouts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, service tickets, and inventory records.
  • Support internal audits and compliance initiatives as required.
Required Qualifications
  • 1-5 years of experience in Desktop Support, Field Services, or End User Computing.
  • Experience supporting Windows, macOS, Linux, Microsoft 365, printers, mobile devices, and endpoint hardware.
  • Basic understanding of networking, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and office infrastructure.
  • Experience imaging, deploying, and supporting enterprise endpoint devices.
  • Strong customer service, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and install computer equipment and travel between local office locations when required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Jamf, SCCM, or other endpoint management platforms.
