About the Role

Wake Endoscopy Center is seeking a Full‑Time Endoscopy Technician to support safe, high‑quality patient care in a collaborative procedural environment. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented, team‑focused individual who enjoys hands‑on clinical work and takes pride in supporting efficient patient flow and infection‑prevention standards.

As an Endoscopy Tech, you’ll work closely with physicians, nurses, and the care team to prepare procedure rooms, assist during procedures, and ensure equipment and instruments are properly cleaned, disinfected, and ready for use.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist physicians and nursing staff during endoscopic procedures
  • Prepare patients for procedures as directed
  • Transport patients to and from the procedure room as needed
  • Prepare endoscopy suites according to patient, physician, and procedure requirements
  • Assemble, test, and maintain properly functioning equipment, instruments, and supplies
  • Handle, label, and process patient specimens in accordance with policy
  • Complete required laboratory, pathology, and documentation accurately
  • Monitor patients during procedures and report observed changes to the RN
  • Clean, disinfect, and reprocess endoscopes and equipment per manufacturer instructions and center policy
  • Perform between‑case and daily terminal cleaning of procedure rooms
  • Restock supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Support efficient room turnover and cost‑effective use of supplies
  • Follow infection prevention practices, aseptic technique, and sterile processes
  • Wear appropriate PPE and observe universal precautions at all times
  • Participate in quality improvement, safety programs, and required education
  • Promote patient and physician satisfaction through professionalism and teamwork
  • Perform other duties as assigned
