Job description


Mayo Clinic Health System Gastroenterology includes locations across Minnesota and Wisconsin serving approximately 600,000 unique patients annually. Our Gastroenterology team collaborates across six locations to provide exceptional-quality specialty care to patients as an integrated Mayo Clinic Gastroenterology practice. Across Mayo Clinic Health System, we've performed approximately 31,000 Endoscopy procedures in 2024 and growing.
Our Northwestern Wisconsin Eau Claire location has as an exciting opportunity for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist, to join our multi-specialty practice focusing on quality, outcomes, and compassion. Mayo Clinic Health System Gastroenterology has a strong integration with the Division of Gastroenterology at Mayo Clinic-Rochester, MN, which may provide opportunity for a blended clinical, consultative, research, teaching activities.
Mayo Clinic Health System is focused on technology advancements within our hospitals to foster an even greater culture of excellence while equipping staff with the latest tools to cure, connect and transform community health care. The use of telehealth, digital technology and artificial intelligence continues to expand, along with design elements and efficiencies to support innovative care models, enhance the patient, and staff experience for years to come.
This position is located in Eau Claire Wisconsin. The selected candidate would join an established group of up to 12 Gastroenterologists and 9 Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants providing gastroenterology services in a physician-led, stable organization, committed to high quality patient care and satisfaction. We can support candidates who require visa assistance.
Based in the diverse patient needs, General Gastroenterology care will be required although practice is open to additional areas of interest. Areas of sub-specialty interest include motility, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, and pancreas.
The practice includes a strong surgical, cancer, and radiology specialties who work collaboratively within the region and across Mayo Clinic to support the needs of our patients.
Eau Claire is a community setting with short commutes and easy access to larger cities such as Rochester, MN, the Twin Cities, and Chicago IL. The NWWI Eau Claire regional practice provides more than 630,000 outpatient visits with 13,000 hospital admissions from western and northern Wisconsin, and eastern Minnesota. NWWI includes our largest hospital in Eau Claire as well as four regional Community/Critical Access Hospitals.
Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire and NWWI is an award-winning practice including the most recent "A" grade for patient safety by Leapfrog Group's Hospital Safety Score and holds various U.S. News Best Hospital awards for 100 Best Hospitals high performing ranking awards, as well as those specifically in Gastrointestinal Care and Gastrointestinal Surgery.
