Job description

Desktop Support Technician (Long-Term Contract)

Hybrid Schedule: Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. Also need to be in on Monday or Friday.

Are you a customer-focused IT professional who enjoys solving technical challenges and making a direct impact on the end-user experience? We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join a collaborative IT team on a long-term contract opportunity. In this role, you will provide hands-on technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure employees have the technology they need to stay productive.

What You'll Do
  • Deliver exceptional desktop support and break/fix services for end users.
  • Troubleshoot, track, and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Manage and fulfill service requests, including installations, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC).
  • Provide Tier 2 support for a variety of end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Support Windows-based environments and Microsoft technologies, including Office 365.
  • Assist with device deployments, upgrades, and equipment refresh initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress and resolutions to users and stakeholders.
  • Support IT asset management processes, including inventory tracking and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams to improve processes and deliver effective technology solutions.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in desktop support, endpoint support, or technical support roles.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience across hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Experience supporting:
    • Windows 10/11 environments
    • Microsoft Office 365
    • Active Directory
    • SCCM / Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
    • Outlook and other Microsoft productivity tools
  • Experience with device deployments, hardware support, and end-user support.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple support requests and work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience within the insurance industry.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management processes and best practices.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
