Job description

Job Summary:

The Technician, Field Support supports the overall repair and upkeep of all store IT equipment, including the front end and perimeter registers, rack equipment, and any other equipment supported by the IT Department. The Technician acts as the eyes, ears, and hands at the store locations for others who are offsite troubleshooting problems and generating resolutions. The Field Support Technician utilizes a ticketing system to acquire work assignments and create daily workload. The Technician requires the ability to self-manage one's own work assignments daily with little or no supervision. This position must be professional, courteous, respectful, and mature in all dealings, acting as representatives of the IT Department in the field.

Responsibilites:

  • Strong Customer-First focus dedicated to achieving optimal results with minimal disruption to the daily operations of the business. As an end-user facing IT representative, ensure alignment with Customer-First philosophy maintaining a strong emphasis on delighting the customer.
  • Responsible for all overall repair and upkeep of all store IT equipment, including the front end and perimeter registers, rack equipment, and any other equipment supported by the IT Department
  • Coordinate with other offsite departments to ensure elimination of duplicative efforts
  • Operate company vehicle to travel to stores to conduct general duties
  • Maintain company vehicle in good operating condition and appearance
  • Maintain depot of inventory and appropriate recordkeeping to account for all equipment and tools whenever required
  • Travel to/from stores and arrives at store locations to troubleshoot, repair, resolve store open issues with IT equipment on routine basis
  • Communicate and works with all other IT Departments and engineering on all issues requiring assistance in the field
  • Process tickets and time recordings to ensure accuracy of time commitments and resolution of issues
  • Support in the coordination or deployment of new technology as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for company service van's cleanliness and timely maintenance.
