Description
SUMMARY
The ideal candidate can expect to teach a variety of course offerings in the department including Psychoactive Drugs, Introduction to Addiction Counseling, Addictions Treatment, Social Implications of Addictions, and Addictions Studies Internship. A variety of teaching modalities are offered including online, blended, FLEX and in-person instruction. Experience teaching diverse students at various levels of college-preparedness and non-traditional students is highly desirable.
Minimum Qualifications
  • M.A. /M.S. in Human Services, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology Sociology or related behavioral science field.
  • I.A.O.D.A.P.C.A. and CADC certification required.
  • Teaching Experience 1 - 2 years
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check.

Supplemental Information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Teaching experience 2-3 years with at least one year in Illinois.
  • Demonstrate ability to use technology in the classroom.
  • Earned Doctorate

This is a part-time faculty position with salary to be determined by placement on the adjunct faculty salary schedule.
