Innovative Computer Solutions Group, Inc is looking for a talented Data Encryption Specialist to join our growing team in Bowie, MD. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in protecting sensitive data and strengthening cybersecurity infrastructure for a forward-thinking technology company. Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage data encryption solutions across enterprise systems and networks
  • Monitor and assess encryption protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend improvements to existing cryptographic systems
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate encryption best practices into data management workflows
  • Develop and maintain documentation for encryption policies, procedures, and key management strategies
  • Respond to security incidents involving data breaches or encryption failures and lead remediation efforts
  • Stay current with emerging threats, encryption technologies, and cybersecurity trends
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: HRA's Business Processing project will allow New Yorkers to apply for benefits, check their case status and make basic changes to their personal information in the very same way they conduct business in other aspects of their lives, online. By moving customer interactions online and consolidating offices where appropriate, we hope to improve customer experience and manage staff workload, while enhancing the integrity of our programs and increasing efficiencies. HRA is also investing in new technology and other improvements, such as a new version of the ACCESS NYC online client account and a new automated call system, to make sure we can support this project.
Tasks & Duties
  • Responsible for developing and implementing an Oracle encryption strategy for Oracle databases, as per City law.
  • Architect Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and Oracle Key Valut (OKV) technologies.
  • Tested & implemented Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) feature on TSOX & TJAZ (High Availability with Disaster Recovery - MAA enabled).
  • Design the strategies & encrypt databases, including Production, Pre-production & Development databases.
  • Implemented end to end functionalities/features of Oracle Key Vault.
  • Design, report, test & implement Oracle Enterprise Manager (cloud control) 13.4 version.
  • Plan & Implement Database backup, restore & recovery strategies.
  • Tune the overall database systems, for optimal performance, across multiple applications.
  •  Install & configure HA & Disaster recovery enabled databases.
  • Design and execute the management plans.
  • Develop and manage high-level roadmap of portfolios aligned with overall ITS strategy, business needs and strategies.
  • Partner with appropriate businesses to facilitate the creation of business cases and value plans.
  • Drive specific deliverables and ensure their conception, delivery and effective implementation to meet the business needs.
  • Partner with appropriate stakeholders to develop operational support plans that ensure service reliability and availability.
