Overview
Associate Veterinarian
Park Ridge Animal Hospital | Park Ridge, NJ
Progressive Medicine. Heartfelt Care. A Place Where Great Medicine Meets Great People.
At Park Ridge Animal Hospital, those aren't just words on a wall. They're framed at our front door, and they set the tone for everything that happens inside. We move fast, we stay organized, and we never stop looking for ways to do better for our patients. Same-day appointments, advanced imaging, a dual surgery suite, and a fear-free environment are just the beginning. Our Medical Director leads from the floor, not a private office, and sets the tone for how we all show up for each other every single day.
We're looking for an Associate Veterinarian who is ready to deliver excellent care, support our team, and thrive in both the exam room and surgery suite. If you're passionate about great medicine and an even better team culture, we'd love to meet you.
Why you'll love us:
  • Our Team Actually Knows Each Other- We're inclusive, team-oriented, and genuinely invested in each other's growth. Every voice is heard here, everyone shows up, and when things get hectic, nobody disappears. We've built something special here and we're proud of it.
  • Work Hard, Live Fully - Four days a week, no holidays, and Saturdays shared equally across our whole team, including our Medical Director. We built our schedule around the belief that a great veterinarian needs a great life outside the clinic too.
  • A Place to Grow - Whether you're a new grad finding your footing or an experienced veterinarian looking for a practice that truly invests in its people, our mentorship and Encore's MentorCore platform are here to support you on your journey.

What We're Looking For:
  • A US-licensed Veterinarian, ideally with at least a year in a general practice setting
  • A Veterinarian who is equally comfortable in the exam room and the surgery suite
  • Someone who genuinely cares about our patients, our clients, and the teammates standing next to them, and shows up for all three
  • Comfortable working independently while staying open to feedback and growth
  • Available for rotating Saturdays alongside the rest of our team

Not Local? You're Going to Want to Be.
Park Ridge, NJ is one of those towns that surprises people in the best way. Our hospital sits alongside a creek, the downtown is walkable enough to grab lunch on a break, and the neighbors actually know each other.
  • Small town charm, big world access - Scenic parks, great schools, and a close-knit community, all within easy reach of New York City, Newark, and Jersey City.
  • Bergen County at its best - Tucked into a quiet corner of one of New Jersey's most sought-after counties. Low-traffic and genuinely beautiful neighborhoods.
  • A town worth staying in - Walkable, welcoming, and the kind of place where people put down roots and don't look back.

Compensation
Our base salary range is from $130k-$170k (or higher) based on experience and production capabilities. We have pro-sal and salary options and we're open to offering a sign-on bonus or relocation package. We can be creative with your total compensation package so that you get the things you need to be able to come join us!
What's in it for you?
  • Generous CE Allowance + access to Encore Performance Academy trainings
  • Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, Pet Benefits, 401(k) with up to a 5% match
