Job description

Our team is redefining the industry - and creating a culture of excellence.
Founded in 2011, Atlantic Coast Mortgage embodies a people-first culture rooted in commitment, character, and innovation. What began as a small team has grown into a thriving organization where our people remain the driving force behind our mission to redefine the mortgage industry. We believe individuals do their best work in an environment designed for success-and we're proud to be recognized by The Washington Post as a Top Workplace. As we continue to grow, we're not just hiring employees-we're looking for driven, energetic, and creative problem-solvers. If that sounds like you, and you're ready to build your career with a company committed to making meaningful change in our industry, we'd love to connect.
The AI Solutions Engineer will design, build, and deploy AI-driven tools that automate internal workflows, improve decision-making, and enhance customer experience. This hands-on role combines software development, process automation, and creative problem-solving to deliver practical, scalable solutions. You'll collaborate with leadership and business units to identify use-cases, prototype tools, and deliver production-ready systems that make a measurable impact.
If you're passionate about applying AI to real business problems - not just research - this is a ground-floor opportunity to shape the company's future.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy internal AI tools (chatbots, document analyzers, predictive models)
  • Integrate LLMs and APIs (OpenAI, Azure, AWS) into existing workflows
  • Automate manual processes across operations, compliance, and sales support
  • Build lightweight internal dashboards or web apps for employee use (Streamlit, Flask, FastAPI)
  • Manage small-scale data pipelines and ensure data quality and security (SOC2, GLBA compliance)
  • Fine-tune or adapt language models for mortgage-specific tasks (classification, summarization, extraction)
  • Collaborate with teams to identify automation opportunities and create proof-of-concepts
  • Document AI tools, training materials, and internal usage guidelines
  • Support the CIO in shaping the company's AI strategy and governance framework

Qualifications:
  • 3-7 years of experience in software engineering, data analysis, or automation
  • Proficiency in Python (pandas, requests, LangChain, FastAPI, Streamlit, Flask)
  • Hands-on experience with AI APIs (OpenAI, Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, or similar)
  • Familiarity with SQL, REST APIs, JSON, and data pipelines
  • Strong understanding of prompt engineering and API-based automation
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions
  • Self-starter who can thrive in a small, fast-moving environment
  • Experience in mortgage or financial services (Encompass, POS, CRM integrations)
  • Knowledge of cloud services (AWS)
  • Background in RPA tools, Zapier, or UiPath
  • Understanding of AI governance, compliance, and ethical AI practices
