Location/Division Specific Information:
Within the Pharma Services Group (PSG), the High Point, NC location specializes in gelatin-based drug delivery dosage forms (softgels). Our expertise lies in the development and production of various softgel technologies.

​We have both Day and Night shifts available:

Days: 7am-7pm - rotating 2-2-3 schedule

Nights: 7pm-7am - rotating 2-2-3 schedule; w/ 10% added night shift differential

How Will You Make an Impact:
Formulation Tech I, Machine Operator: Entry level responsibilities for machine operator, spreading capsules on trays, monitoring machine during breaks and lunches. Closely monitor encapsulation machine to produce products from pre-mixed ingredients, insuring proper temperatures, machine settings, equipment set-ups, in process measurements, and quality product.

  • Reads job specifications from the Batch Production Record to determine machine adjustments.

  • Observes machine operation.  Make minor adjustments as needed.  Takes samples of product and performs in process checks.

  • Performs all checks as required and documents activities. Is responsible for maintaining all required documentation in accordance with the Work Instructions.

  • Assists Set-Up person to set up machine, empty basket and clean and prepare machine for changeover.  Also assists with the actual changeover.

  • Notifies Lead Operator when issues occur with equipment or product.

  • Spreads product as required.

  • Assists with cleanup and other Encapsulation duties as needed.  May perform other reasonable, related business duties.

Formulation Tech I, Gelatin Associate: Responsible for manufacturing a quality gel material for use in our encapsulation process.

  • Read and adhere to workplace procedures such as SOPs, Batch Records, cGMP’s, and MSDS memos.

  • Weighs raw materials, loads gelatin silos, mix GMRs, Transfer Tio2, and monitor temperatures of GMRs.

  • Performs all cleaning duties in area.

Formulation Tech I, Post Production Associate: Responsible for inspecting product, cleaning trays/deeps and operation the tray inspection machine to ensure quality of product.

  • Inspect capsules on inspection trays, removes defects such as odd shapes, transfer marks, and leakers.

  • Read and adhere to workplace procedures such as SOPs, Batch Records, cGMP’s, and MSDS memos.

  • Clean used trays/deeps, sweep capsules from floor, removed lodged capsules in equipment.

Formulation Tech I, Medicina Associate:

The Medicine Associate/Formulation Technician II will be responsible for manufacturing a quality fill material for use in our encapsulation process. 

  • Read and adhere to workplace procedures such as SOPs, Batch Records, cGMP’s, and MSDS memos.

  • Retrieve, weigh, identify, mix, and store raw materials.

  • Cleans equipment and performs all other cleaning duties in area.

Qualifications:

*Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

*Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check to include drug screening.

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

  • No work experience required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Ability to follow complex instructions with precision.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent observation skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team setting.

  • Basic understanding of mathematical concepts and reasoning skills.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment (may include, but not limited to):

  • Must have the ability to regularly lift, push, pull, or transport items weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Adherence to all GMP Safety Standards

  • Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc. allowed

  • Loud noises (equipment/machinery)

  • Some degree of PPE required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)

  • Standing for full shift

  • Working at heights

  • Repetitive motions over a prolonged period including overhead lifting and reaching

  • Close and color vision is required (not needed for Machine Operator)
