Job Description
The Encapsulation Operator sets up, operates, and maintains encapsulation and powder-filling equipment used to manufacture nutritional supplements in a regulated, process-driven environment. This role ensures consistent product quality, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety and GMP standards while meeting established production output goals. The Encapsulation Operator works across shifts, participates in structured training, and supports multiple production departments as needed.
WE are seeking motivated Manufacturing Operators (Encapsulation) to support the
production of industry-leading nutritional supplements and wellness products.
This role is responsible for operating, setting up, adjusting, and
troubleshooting encapsulation and powder-filling equipment while maintaining
strict quality, safety, and production standards. Ideal candidates possess
strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working in a
manufacturing or production environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate encapsulation and powder-filling equipment used in the production of nutritional supplements.
- Set up equipment prior to production runs and disassemble equipment after production for cleaning and sanitization.
- Monitor machine performance and maintain established production output goals.
- Make machine adjustments and perform basic troubleshooting to ensure efficient operation and product quality.
- Accurately complete batch records, production documents, and quality-related paperwork in accordance with SOPs and GMP requirements.
- Conduct thorough shift handoffs to ensure seamless production continuity between operators.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards, sanitation requirements, and safety guidelines.
- Inspect products during the manufacturing process to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Safely handle raw materials and production ingredients throughout the manufacturing process.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area.
- Participate in cross-training and credential-based development programs.
- Support overtime and weekend production schedules as required.
Required
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to adjust, operate, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to follow written procedures, batch records, SOPs, and safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to wear half-mask or full-air respirators for extended periods when required.
- Comfortable working around ingredients derived from nuts, soy, dairy, fish, and shellfish.
- Ability to repeatedly lift materials weighing up to 55 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, bend, and work in confined production areas.
- Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as required.
