Influencer Community Marketing Specialist

H/L Agency

Oakland, CA • On-site

$78K - $87K/yr

Full-time

Posted 16 days ago

Job description

Influencer marketing isn't just about finding creators. It's about building communities, shaping conversations, and creating partnerships that move brands forward. H/L is looking for an Influencer Community Marketing Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is excited to help grow an evolving influencer practice. If you're someone who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, testing new ideas, building relationships, and bringing strategy to life through execution, all while juggling multiple projects and priorities, we'd love to meet you!
In this role, you'll partner closely with our Media and Social teams to bring influencer campaigns to life from concept through reporting. You'll identify the right creators, manage partnerships, oversee campaign execution, and deliver measurable results for our clients. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 3+ years of influencer marketing experience who has a startup mindset, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and wants to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of a growing team.
This is a hybrid role, with both office-based work at the H/L Oakland, CA office and remote work. While preference may be given to candidates in the Oakland area, we are also open to remote candidates located in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy, Discovery & Execution
  • End-to-End Campaign Management: Design and execute influencer strategies across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. You are responsible for the "heavy lifting" of creator outreach, vetting, and relationship management.
  • Data-Driven Vetting: Utilize CreatorIQ and Infegy to identify creators who align with client demographics, ensuring high-quality audiences and brand safety.
  • Negotiation & Contracting: Lead talent negotiations and develop legal contracts, managing usage rights, exclusivity, and deliverables to protect agency and client interests.
  • Content Excellence: Develop creative briefs and guidelines that ensure creator content meets client standards and FTC disclosure requirements while maintaining the influencer's authentic voice.

Measurement & Social Integration
  • Advanced Analytics: Use Infegy for audience sentiment analysis and Sprout Social to monitor broader social conversation and engagement trends surrounding campaigns.
  • Performance Reporting: Establish KPIs for every campaign. Build comprehensive post-campaign reports that detail ROI, Earned Media Value (EMV), and actionable insights for the Senior Manager and clients.
  • Cross-Channel Alignment: Work with Planning, Account, and Data teams to ensure influencer content includes trackable links, custom codes, and "search-friendly" captions to drive conversion.

Client & Process Ownership
  • Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the lead technical voice in client meetings, confidently presenting creator recommendations and explaining performance data.
  • Tool Management: Act as the power-user for the agency's tech stack (CreatorIQ, Infegy, Sprout Social), ensuring all data is organized and the creator database is constantly updated.
  • Budget Accountability: Manage campaign budgets with precision, tracking spend against project profitability targets and ensuring timely creator payments.

Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in influencer marketing or talent management, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Proven Individual Contributor: Extensive experience managing high-volume campaigns (20+ creators simultaneously) from start to finish without requiring daily supervision.
  • Tech Proficiency: Advanced hands-on experience with CreatorIQ (discovery/CRM), Infegy (social listening/consumer insights), and Sprout Social (scheduling/analytics).
  • Strong Negotiation Skills: Deep understanding of influencer market rates, usage rights, and contract redlining.
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation skills; able to distill complex social data into clear "wins" for clients.
  • Detail-Oriented: A "zero-mistake" approach to FTC compliance and brand safety guidelines.

Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are unable to provide an individual response to every candidate.
For SF Bay Area / California-based candidates: H/L provides projected compensation ranges for each position as an estimate of the company's reasonable pay range for the role. The salary range for this position is expected to be between $78,000 and $87,000 annually. Actual compensation offered to a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience and qualifications, budget considerations, internal pay equity, geographic location, and market compensation data for similar positions. Compensation for candidates outside of California is determined based on the same factors and varies by geographic area.
