Job description

The Senior Manager, Earned Social owns the strategy for growing Dermalogica Professional Skin Care Providers community and scaling Dermalogica Earned Media Value (EMV). You will define how we discover, activate, and engage new advocates across social, set the EMV strategy and targets, and lead and develop a team of two Community Coordinators to deliver it. You turn community building into measurable earned media, owning the strategy, the metrics, and the team behind it. The focus is net-new growth, distinct from our existing ambassador programs.

This role is responsible for:

Community Strategy & EMV Growth

  • Own the strategy for scaling Dermalogica Earned Media Value: setting targets, priorities, and the roadmap to grow earned media.
  • Drive net-new community growth: define how we discover, activate, and convert new advocates into consistent earned content that scales EMV.
  • Translate EMV goals into a clear activation strategy and quarterly plans that the coordinator team executes.
  • Identify new ways of working to scale the community and expand earned reach.
  • Deepen Dermalogica PRO's community presence across all social platforms: IG, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationships with key partners, directing their work against our community strategy and holding them accountable to EMV goals.

EMV Measurement & Insights

  • Own EMV measurement and reporting, tracking the metrics that matter and reporting results, trends, and opportunities to leadership.
  • Translate data into actionable insights that continuously sharpen the community strategy and prove EMV growth.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of two Community Coordinators (Partnerships; Engagement), setting clear goals and growing their skills.
  • Build the workflows, standards, and cadence that let the community engine scale efficiently.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Trends

  • Partner with content, paid partnerships, and the broader PRO and Consumer teams to align community strategy with brand priorities.
  • Surface social trends, emerging creators, and opportunities that can drive virality and earned reach.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in community, social media, or influencer/advocacy marketing, including proven experience building community strategies that drive Earned Media Value (EMV).
  • Demonstrated success growing communities and scaling earned media, with measurable results.
  • Proven people leadership with experience managing and developing junior team members.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills; able to set targets, translate data into strategy, and report results to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of independence and resilience.
  • Experience within the professional skincare landscape and/or a B2B/professional audience is a strong plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Proactive self-starter with strong project management skills; able to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; resourceful, creative problem solver.
  • Positive attitude with an excitement for learning and openness to new experiences and challenges.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing preferred.
  • Proficient use of CreatorIQ, Dash Hudson, and other social and influencer marketing platforms.

This position will be based out of the corporate headquarters in Carson, CA with applicable hybrid in-office work guidelines.

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $100K to $115K.The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, and budget. This role is eligible for participation in our company bonus plan, rewarding personal performance and company results.
