Emulsion Operator Jobs in Pennsylvania (NOW HIRING)

We are actively looking for a talented Screen Printer who has excellent attention to detail and is committed to producing high quality printed glassware. As a lead Screen Printer, you will be responsible for mixing the correct ink colors to color specifications using Pantone color scheme, making screens and setting up printer, producing the final printed articles, and cleaning the machinery and screens after each batch. You will also be required to prepare the final printed articles for shipping and to assist with the shipping process.

We are also actively looking for a scheduler and end of belt packer, with previous packing, quality assurance, and management experience. As the lead scheduler, you will be responsible for learning the basics of the screen printing operations, including stretching screens, applying emulsion, and exposing images onto screen, and managing production scheduling and communicating with company management to optimize efficiency. As an end of belt packer you would be responsible for removing finished product from conveyors in a timely manor, assuring the quality of all finished product meets company standards, and packing and stacking boxes.

To succeed you need to place a high emphasis on producing quality work, be able to stand for long hours, be comfortable with manual labor and have excellent hand-eye coordination. Suitable Screen Printers can create beautifully designed articles that fully meet the customer’s specifications.

Screen Printer Responsibilities:

• Receive and understand how to read work orders to determine estimated printing times, ink, and material quantities
• Mix ink to accurately match customer specified color requirements
• Stretch screens, apply emulsion, and expose images on to screens, as well as clean/prep screens
• Install and reposition screen-printing plates and pressure roles as needed
• Calibrate printer before batch is printed
• Running prints and performing quality checks throughout the printing process
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise
• Perform ongoing quality checks during production and maintain standard of quality control
• Assist with packing when needed

The strongest candidates will have:

• Several years’ experience working as a Screen Printer
• Machine operator experience and problem solving skills
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work with ink and chemicals every day
• Excellent color-matching skills
• Attention to detail
• Semi-Automatic screen press knowledge
• Automatic pad press knowledge
• Large volume production tolerance
• Ability to read fine print and review small details
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs when needed

Additional role details:

• You may need to stand for up to 8 hours. There are two, 15-minute breaks and one 30 minute lunch break. Work may be repetitive at times.
• In general, work hours are from Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00PM. Work hours may fluctuate. Occasional Saturday work may be required.
• Pay begins at approximately $16 to $18 per hour, with opportunities for cross-training and advancement
