Job description

Position Summary
Delaware Valley Paving is seeking an experienced Asphalt Roller Operator to safely and efficiently operate rolling equipment during asphalt paving operations. This position plays a critical role in achieving proper compaction, surface smoothness, and overall pavement quality on commercial, municipal, and roadway projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate asphalt rollers to compact asphalt surfaces to project specifications
  • Work closely with the paving crew, paver operators, and foreman to ensure proper rolling patterns and timing
  • Monitor asphalt temperature, mat conditions, and compaction requirements
  • Perform pre-operation equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety issues
  • Maintain consistent rolling speed and overlap to achieve uniform compaction
  • Follow all job site safety procedures and company policies
  • Assist with general labor duties as needed to support paving operations
  • Ensure work meets quality standards and project timelines

Qualifications amp; Requirements
  • Prior experience operating asphalt rollers preferred
  • Knowledge of asphalt paving and compaction techniques
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work long hours, including overtime, during the paving season
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL a plus
