Together, we respond to residential and commercial structure fires, emergency medical calls, conduct airport emergency response, provide community fire safety training, toys for families at the holidays and more.  We train and experience hazmat, high angle, confined space, trench collapse and swiftwater rescues, and work alongside neighboring fire departments, law enforcement, dispatch, and emergency services.

Essential Firefighter/EMT Job Functions


  1. Performs a variety of fire suppression activities at the fire scene including deploying hose lines, operating nozzles, directing water streams, and raising and climbing ladders; utilizes a variety of hand and power equipment. 
  2. Participates in a variety of training activities to maintain and improve the level of fire suppression, emergency medical skills, and physical conditioning. 
  3. Performs a variety of emergency rescue activities at fire, accident, medical, or other emergency scenes. 
  4. Administers emergency medical care at the appropriate level. 
  5. Performs a variety of cleaning, maintenance, and repair tasks necessary to keep the fire station, apparatus, and related equipment clean, stored properly, fully functional and operating safely.
