What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control access to restricted operational areas.
  • Observe vehicle traffic at gates, inspect credentials and documentation as directed, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess EMT certification.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Preferred: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Preferred: Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Preferred: Experience with alarm panels.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
