Job description

Thank you for expressing your interest in pursuing a career with Valley Medical Group. We are a provider-owned, multi-specialty group. We proudly serve a diverse community of over 55,000 patients at four locations throughout the Pioneer Valley.


Valley Medical Group is looking for a Medical Assistant to be part of our busy Endocrinology team. You must be able to travel between health centers as needed.

Position: Medical Assistant

Location: Amherst, MA and Easthampton, MA

Pay Range: $18.62 - $26.52

NO NIGHTS! NO HOLIDAYS! NO WEEKENDS!

Hours: 24 hours, 3 days/week, Monday- Friday generally between 8:00am and 5:00pm. Hours may vary depending on department needs. Exact schedule to be discussed at time of interview.

Responsibilities: As the MA, you will be responsible for managing various types of messages, prioritizing calls, and assuring that the daily schedule are booked appropriately, or if necessary, referring patients to emergency services. MAs work in a collaborative environment in a team setting and support the needs of the organization by filling in where necessary. Duties also include, but are not limited to, preparing patients for the office visit by getting accurate vital signs, taking a history, doing medication reconciliation and reviewing allergies.


Required Qualifications:

  • Medical Assisting program certificate, EMT license, or CNA license
  • Current CPR certification
  • EMR experience (Athena preferred)
  • Experience working as a Medical Assistant, EMT, or CNA

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • CMA or RMA certification strongly preferred
  • Experience administering vaccines
