Job description

EMT (Part-Time) - Continuous Recruitment

Payson City is seeking motivated and qualified EMT's to work part-time. The shifts are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Under the supervision of the Fire Chief, this position performs emergency medical care. These part-time EMT's will respond to emergency calls within in the Payson City response area. Essential duties may include the following:

  • Performs basic and advanced emergency medical care and provides other patient care assistance as required.
  • Operates ground ambulances safely to deliver proper patient care and transportation.
  • Participates in training, attends classes in emergency medical care and related subjects.
  • Maintains emergency medical equipment, vehicles and facilities.
  • Performs general maintenance work in the upkeep of facilities and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be twenty-one years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to read and write the English Language. Must have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Must posses EMT-B Certification.

Compensation and Benefits

$18.00 per hour with EMT-B Certification

$19.00 per hour with EMT-Advanced Certification
