Mt Auburn Nephrology, a leading private physician office providing compassionate, comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease, hypertension, kidney stones, and dialysis needs across the Greater Cincinnati region.

We are seeking a passionate, reliable, and professional Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team. We value individuals who are Friendly, Accessible, and Credible and who share our commitment to providing the highest quality healthcare to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant role is a vital position encompassing both clinical and administrative duties in a fast-paced specialty practice:

  • Patient Intake: Efficiently room patients, measure and record vital signs, and accurately obtain visit information, medical history, and chief complaints.
  • Clinical Support: Assist clinicians and physicians with exams, procedures, and patient education relevant to nephrology care.
  • Medication Management: Handle medication refill requests and manage complex pre-authorizations for specialized medications and procedures.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform various front office tasks, including scheduling, answering patient calls, and ensuring smooth office flow.
  • Documentation: Maintain precise and timely patient records within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, clinicians, co-workers, and external healthcare providers.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA and patient safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience working as a Medical Assistant is required.
