Job description

A Georgia-based health services organization is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Acute Care team in in the Greater Atlanta area. This role supports critically ill patients in a high-acuity setting and works closely with attending physicians to deliver evidence-based care.
About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day shift
  • Schedule: Monday through Sunday
  • Hours: 12-hour shifts
  • Setting: In-person, ICU
Responsibilities:
  • Manage critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
  • Collaborate with attending physicians to develop and communicate the plan of care
  • Conduct ongoing patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions
  • Enter orders and document histories, physicals, consultations, follow-up notes, and procedure notes in the EMR
  • Interpret diagnostic testing and participate in multidisciplinary rounds
Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an ICU setting
  • GA Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Active national and state licensure
  • Experience performing ICU procedures, including central and arterial line insertions
  • Ability to support credentialing requirements for procedure experience
Desired Skills:
  • Experience using Cerner EMR
  • Experience with central venous catheter, vascath, introducer, and arterial line placement
