Position Summary 


The?EMR Implementation Specialist is responsible for supporting the successful implementation, adoption, and ongoing optimization of PreBorn!’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platform across affiliated pregnancy clinics. 

Reporting to the?Vice President of Virtual Care Services (VP VCS), this role serves as a primary bridge between PreBorn!, participating clinics, technology teams, and EMR vendors. The EMR Implementation Specialist guides clinics through implementation from initial readiness and workflow discovery through configuration, data preparation, testing, training coordination, go-live, and post-implementation stabilization. 


This is a highly hands-on role requiring strong project coordination, technical aptitude, clinic relationship management, and the ability to translate operational and clinical workflows into effective system processes. The successful candidate will understand that implementation success is measured not simply by deploying software, but by helping clinics confidently adopt technology that strengthens operational excellence and supports their life-saving ministry.

Serve as the voice of clinic implementation by communicating recurring workflow challenges, user feedback, system gaps, and opportunities for product improvement.

Physical & Travel Requirements 

  • Ability to work for extended periods using computers and virtual communication systems. 
  • Ability to travel periodically to participating clinics throughout the United States. 
  • Travel may increase during periods of active clinic implementation and go-live. 
  • Ability to provide onsite implementation support for multiple consecutive days when necessary. 
Requirements:

Qualifications 

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, information systems, business, project management, or related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. 
  • 3+ years of experience supporting software, EMR/EHR, healthcare technology, SaaS implementation, or similar system implementations. 
  • Experience working directly with end users during technology implementation or adoption. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple implementation projects and competing priorities. 
  • Strong understanding of workflow analysis, process documentation, and change management. 
  • Ability to learn complex software systems quickly and translate technical concepts for nontechnical users. 
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Ability to work effectively across clinical, operational, and technical teams. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel to clinics as needed during implementation and go-live. 

Preferred 

  • Direct experience implementing an?EMR or EHR system
  • Experience working in outpatient healthcare, women's health, pregnancy clinics, telehealth, or similar clinical environments. 
  • Experience with healthcare data migration and system configuration. 
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, healthcare privacy, role-based access, and clinical data security principles. 
  • Experience conducting user acceptance testing and supporting software go-lives. 
  • Experience developing implementation documentation, workflows, and training resources. 
  • Familiarity with project management tools and implementation methodologies. 
  • Experience supporting multi-site or geographically dispersed healthcare organizations.
