Job description
Legacy Village of St. George in St. George, UT, is hiring a PartTime Medical Staffing Specialist to own the flow of our weekend care, Friday through Sunday (~20 hours/week) at $22–$23 DOE.
If you're the person teams trust when things get busy, apply today and set the tone for exceptional weekends!
We offer excellent benefits for part-time employees, including PTO and hotel discounts through Western States Lodging & Management. Position-specific advantages include a focused weekend schedule, hands-on leadership opportunities, and the satisfaction of making residents' weekends better, every single shift. Keep reading to learn how to make your next weekend count!
WHAT YOUR DAY IS LIKE
Your weekend starts by confirming staffing, addressing callouts, and ensuring coverage, then you move directly into onthefloor leadership, demonstrating best practices, supporting onboarding and logins, and coaching clear communication and dementiacare techniques that keep everyone calm and focused. You're the point person for families when the Manager is away, assisting with care conferences, tours, and concerns with empathy and professionalism. Side by side with life enrichment, you keep programming meaningful and encourage team participation in resident engagement and routines, especially during holidays and family gatherings. You manage documentation and reports, track and restock essentials (first aid supplies, gloves, bags), complete filing and chart audits, maintain the list of expired standing orders, support admissions, transfers, and discharges, and put spools away every other Friday. You answer call lights quickly (no phones on the floor), provide extra weekend support to new moveins, fill in calloffs, offer the steady "babysitting" oversight weekends sometimes need, and step up to manage the unit when required-all while upholding a calm, structured, compassionate culture.
WHO ARE WE?
As a community within Western States Lodging & Management, Legacy Village of St. George is built around a "personal touch" approach where every resident is known as an individual, allowing us to consistently go the extra mile. Our six foundational principles-Be loving, Choose wisely, Perform together, Act boldly, Express gratitude, and Mind the store-reflect our belief that empowered residents thrive. This belief extends to our employees as well; we offer a workplace where teamwork, recognition, encouragement, and genuine connection foster a positive, meaningful environment.
WHAT'S NEEDED FROM OUR MEDICAL STAFFING SPECIALIST?
We're looking for someone who can work 20 hours, Friday–Sunday, while meeting the following qualifications:
- Med Tech and CNA experience
- Demonstrated scheduling experience
- Weekend availability (Fri–Sun)
Preferred: Experience in assisted living or memory care, strong dementia-care and redirection skills, familiarity with scheduling/EMR systems.
Bring your best to a place that brings out your best. Apply today with our quick, easy, mobile-friendly initial application. Get started fast and become our Medical Staffing Specialist today!
