We pride ourselves on maintaining a patient-centered environment while supporting a collaborative and professional clinical team. Practice sees a variety of patients from Primary care, Hormone replacement Therapy, IV vitamin infusions, Weight loss, Laser Hair removal, to DOT and school physicals.
As our practice continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who is highly motivated, punctual, dependable, and committed to excellent patient care.
Position Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant will support the provider with both clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure efficient daily operations of the practice. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced clinical environment while delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Document patient history and chief complaints in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Assist provider with examinations and in-office procedures
- Administer injections, and medications as ordered
- Perform point-of-care testing (urinalysis, rapid tests, etc.)
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies
- Contact patients with lab results and provider instructions
- Assist with prior authorizations for medications, imaging, and procedures
- Handle patient phone calls, messages, and follow-up instructions
- Coordinate referrals, labs, and imaging orders
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with laser hair removal services and Evolve X weight loss machine (training will be provided)
- Support overall clinic workflow and patient experience
- Entering insurance information and billing
Required Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA certification required)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or primary care setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor with patients and staff
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Primary care or family practice experience
- Phlebotomy experience
- Experience with prior authorizations and patient follow-up communication
- Bilingual
