We’re looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to grow our team in Chesapeake, VA. Responsibilities:
  • Develop test strategies for complex business, functional, and technical requirements, and translate those strategies into usable test plans for both internal testers and our client user base.
  • Create and execute detailed test cases, scenarios, and scripts across varied testing phases, including functional, integration, regression, and UAT.
  • Identify, analyze, and document software bugs and defects, and work with the development team to triage issues and track resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and business analysts to provide feedback, track defect resolution, and ensure quality is embedded throughout the development cycle.
  • Participate in Agile events as a key member of the software delivery team.
  • Embrace continuous improvement of QA processes, with an eye towards improving overall quality of delivered software.
  • Gain a deep understanding of Emprise’s primary software product.
  • Support test automation efforts including developing and maintaining smoke and regression test scripts.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management Systems, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • Seven years of QA experience, with an emphasis on planning, developing, and executing functional, regression, and UAT test plans.
  • Exceptional technical writing with meticulous attention to detail is a must; you will be responsible for writing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and documenting defects.
  • Well versed in Scrum Agile framework, release cadences, and the overall challenges of endtoend software delivery.
  • Strong familiarity with Jira, and experience with test management and defect tracking tools in general.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into effective test cases for a broad audience.
  • Strong ability to multitask, deliver on sprint goals, and manage changing priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance.
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with Seleniumlike test automation authoring tools.
  • Experience with C# or other objectoriented programming language.
  • Experience working in the DoD or Federal landscape.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 serviceoriented framework.
  • Familiarity with marine engineering and shipboard maintenance concepts.
