Job description

The Brattle Group: Senior Associate (Multiple Positions) - Boston, MA

DUTIES:

  • Frame research approaches and direct and manage projects in team environment to produce written analyses used in litigation, regulatory proceedings, international arbitration, and consulting engagements.
  • Develop statistical, econometric, and other quantitative data analysis and oversee analysis performed by Research Analysts.
  • Draft reports that summarize and explain the results of analytical work performed, using clear and concise writing that presents technical concepts in a manner accessible to noneconomists.
  • Responsible for project management, including keeping the client informed of new developments and responding to client requests.
  • Responsible for overseeing the final work product for the following: reports, client memos, proposals, presentations, data requests, interrogatories, and expert witness testimony in a litigation and non-litigation environment.
  • Assist counsel with preparing expert witness for deposition and trial testimony, cross-examination and deposition of opposing expert witnesses, and drafting of post-trial briefs.
  • Responsible for participating in and leading business development activities including drafting business development materials, drafting proposals and budgets, speaking at conferences, and publishing in professional and trade journals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Economics, Finance or related quantitative field and 4 years of experience consulting on financial, regulatory and/or economic concepts

Or

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Finance or related quantitative field and 7 years of experience consulting on financial, regulatory and/or economic concepts.

Qualified candidate must possess any amount of experience with or demonstrated knowledge* of:

  • Quantitative analytics.
  • Analytical/statistical software include STATA, R, SQL and Excel.
  • Complex financial and/or economic related concepts.

*Knowledge may be demonstrated through education, training and / or experience

TELEWORK: Position may be authorized to work at any Brattle Group office within the US or for full or part time telework

TRAVEL: Up to 10% domestic travel required

SALARY: $195,000 to $225,000 per year
